Nestled in the heart of Gstaad, Newby Tea offers a unique tea experience that blends tradition, design, and sensory refinement. The boutique includes a private room dedicated to tea tasting—a space designed to immerse visitors in the culture of fine tea.
The room's centrepiece is a custom WOOD-SKIN ceiling installation. Made of faceted triangular modules, the design combines natural wood with a mirror finish. The geometric composition reflects light and colour across the space, creating a dynamic and immersive atmosphere.
This sculptural ceiling sets the tone for the entire experience. It enhances the elegance of the room while drawing focus to the ritual of tea tasting. Soft textiles, natural finishes, and carefully integrated lighting complete the environment.
Every detail is curated to express the essence of quality and elevate the art of tea.
We have never done three-dimensional elements before; this was the first time. The experience with WOOD-SKIN was very positive: from Vera's executive design to Sirio and Carol's helpfulness and organisational skills in the installation.
Definitely, the positives of the project and the WOOD-SKIN company were: the knowledge and ability to make a concept executive, the willingness to collaborate, the elegant look with a strong aesthetic impact of W-S products.
We hope that from this project onward X CONTRACT and WOOD–SKIN can collaborate and become a “winning” working team on other occasions to be able to say that together we can offer Turnkey service.
