This striking installation is one of our latest WOOD-SKIN realizations in Norway, seamlessly blending digital fabrication with high-end design. Located in the lobby of The Grand Royal Quality Hotel, the project transforms key architectural elements into bold statement pieces, enhancing the overall spatial experience.
The sculptural column, positioned in the elevator area, features an intricate triangular mesh pattern that wraps around its surface, creating a dynamic play of light and reflections. Clad in gold-toned reflective membrane, the column interacts with the surrounding lighting, producing an immersive and ever-changing effect. The same geometry and material extend to the reception counter, establishing a cohesive aesthetic language that unifies the space.
More than just decorative elements, these WOOD-SKIN surfaces redefine the identity of the hotel’s entrance, creating a sophisticated and memorable atmosphere. The parametric design, made possible through our patented technology, allows for seamless fabrication and easy installation, bridging the gap between visionary architecture and real-world execution.
